TWO OCEANS. A Guide To The Marine Life Of Southern Africa. Profusely illustrated. This guide allows the identification of over 1400 species, from sponges to whales, and from seaweeds to mangroves. Focuses on the most frequently encountered species that live in the intertidal zone and in shallow subtidal waters that can readily be explored by scuba-divers. The emphasis falls on groups that are diverse, most often encountered, and poorly covered in other field guides, particularly the life of open coast, beaches and rocky shores. Glossary & references.
